The Renault Megane doesn't have timing marks so you need to lock the cams before removing the timing belt. The dephaser pulley is used to adjust cam timing for best MPG and performance. My engine managment light started coming on brought it to garage were my sons pal works, and computer diagnostic says its the Dephaser Pulley, my problem is there is no other issue with the car other than the light coming on, there is no noise.
